well, I think I am not tough enough with github, so I can't really talk about the pro and contras.
BUT: if it would be an advantage to all opsi-users and to uib (of course!) and if there will be no problem with any licences or copy-rights, so why not?
If it's good, so let's do it. Nevertheless we can use the WIKI, there should be always included a link to the software. I see no diffrence between a link to the original website with the software or to github with a complete package...
